With the new Academic year, we welcome several new Postgraduates to the HART team.

Natalie Cooper joins the team from her Undergraduate Degree at the University of Lincoln. Natalie will be completing an MSc by research into narratives of sport from people with Asperger’s Syndrome, and will be supervised by Donna Evans as Director of Studies, supported by Dr. Adam Evans.

Rachel Williams will also be staying with the HART team after her successful completion of an MSc by Research. Rachel will begin a fully-funded PhD focusing upon embodiment, physical activity and contested memories under the tutelage of Dr. Adam Evans and Dr. Jacquelyn Allen-Collinson, who were also her MSc supervisors.

Last but certainly not least, Patricia Jackman was awarded a second fully-funded PhD studentship and has recently started work and joined as a member of the MTOUGH team, supervised by Dr. Lee Crust and Dr Christian Swann. Patricia joins us from the Department of Health, Sport and Exercise Science in Waterford Institute of Technology, Ireland, and will investigate the link between mental toughness and flow which was exhibited in previous research within the MTOUGH Research Group (Crust & Swann, 2013).
