Paper at International Conference on Mental Health & Wellbeing of Postgraduate Researchers

Lincoln Sport and Exercise Psychology (LSEP) Research and HART members recently presented their research at two international events. The presentations featured work being led by Dr Trish Jackman and Rebecca Hawkins in collaboration with University of Lincoln and international colleagues. Details of the first of these, a BASES workshop, can be found here.

In addition to her BASES workshop presentation, Dr Jackman also recently presented at the 2nd International Conference on the Mental Health & Wellbeing of Postgraduate Researchers, organized by the UK Council for Graduate Education (UKCGE). The presentation centred on a recent systematic review led by Dr Jackman, in collaboration with University of Lincoln colleagues, Rebecca Hawkins, Dr Kelly Sisson, and Lisa Jacobs.

Drawing on initial findings from the SMaRteN-funded research project “Getting off to a mentally healthy start in doctoral study”, the presentation offered an insight into the current evidence surrounding mental health and wellbeing in early-stage doctoral students. The team aims to share findings from their review, as well as empirical studies, in the coming months.
