New HART/LSEP Articles in Sport and Exercise Psychology

As the new academic term draws near, we are delighted to see members of HART and Lincoln Sport and Exercise Psychology Research (LSEP) recently publishing articles in sport and exercise psychology journals.

Dr Patricia Jackman and Rebecca Hawkins, along with Dr Amy Whitehead (Liverpool John Moore’s University) and Dr Noel Brick (Ulster University), authored a paper on optimal experiences in recreational running in Psychology of Sport and Exercise. The qualitative paper drew on self-regulation theories to understand how flow and clutch states were facilitated in recreational running activities. The paper can be downloaded free until November 1st, 2021 by clicking here.

Dr Matthew Bird collaborated with David Johnson, a former University of Lincoln BSc (Hons) Sport and Exercise Science student, on a paper outlining how performance profiling can be used by strength and conditioning coaches. This article was accepted for publication in the Strength and Conditioning Journal.
