Research seminar on Health Trainers

Screen Shot 2015-10-23 at 16.28.00 (1)Rachel Williams, a full-time PhD student with the School, gave a very interesting presentation on a recent funded project undertaken by staff in HART on the role of Health Trainers.  She highlighted the importance of the health work undertaken by this occupational group in community settings. Health Trainers undertake a wide range of health promoting tasks and often provide intense, one-to-one support to their clients for changing to healthier lifestyles and behaviour. Rachel gave the opening presentation in this year’s School of Sport & Exercise Staff and Research Student Seminar series.
