Members of Lincoln Sport and Exercise Psychology Research recently presented invited research talks at conferences in sport psychology and higher education.
Dr Matt Bird delivered an “Insight Talk” for the Psychological Insights into Coaching Practice Conference run by Newcastle University. Dr Bird, a certified mental performance consultant, spoke about his extensive research and applied experience in performance profiling, with his talk discussing how this could be used in coaching practice.
As part of the “Student Mental Health and the COVID-19 Pandemic Knowledge Exchange and Transfer Conference” at City, University of London, Dr Trish Jackman delivered an invited talk about the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on doctoral and early career researchers. This talk centred on findings from the recent paper in Higher Education published by Dr Jackman and members of the Student Mental Health Research Network (SMaRteN).
